### Purpose

The `fs.Filesystem` interface contains two parts that cannot be
implemented externally because they are private:

* `filesystemWrapperType`: this PR changes `unwrapFilesystem` to
downcast to a specific concrete type
* `underlying`: this PR simply moves it to an unexported interface

### Testing

Regular tests pass.
